After visiting Olivia’s Garden in Toronto, I wanted to check out Forest Cafe, another aesthetic cafe. It seems like I’m attracted to cafes with foliage themes these days.
Forest Cafe is located a few blocks across from Fairview Mall on a residential street. Once you get there, you’re greeted with a few patio tables. When you walk into the cafe, it’s easy to see why it’s called Forest Cafe, since it’s filled with tons of foliage.
The Menu
The cafe is quite busy, and it’s for a perfectly valid reason. Their drinks are tasty, and their pastries are delicious, too. They had tasty croissants (that were crispy and soft on the inside with no lingering burnt taste).
A standout item had to be the matcha white cream cookies. These weren’t dry cookies. These were chewy goodness that made you crave more.
I also liked their iced lattes. Dalgona coffee and iced matcha can be hit or miss, but this combo of milk, ice and powder blended nicely after you stirred them.
The Decor
I loved the branding and the decor, too. The lighting fixtures were stylish and the marble tables were very cute, too.
Unfortunately, the table we sat at was extremely wobbly and needed to be fixed. However, the tables were the finishing touch to the cafe and made the cafe very Instagram-worthy.
Everything about Forest Cafe made me want to take pictures, from the pastries to the decor.
In general, I really enjoyed my experience and I’ll be returning to do some work in the morning when there is significantly less traffic.
If you’ve got a car, you can park on the street outside the cafe or a few blocks away in the Fairview Mall parking lot.
Mini Photoshoot
We decided to do a mini photoshoot after the cafe. I’m so inexperienced when it comes to posing, but my cousin, who loves fashion photography, helped me get a few cute shots.
So, will you check out Forest Cafe in the future? Have you been? Let me know in the comments below.
