So, it’s finally happening—I’m heading to Cancun, Mexico, for a much-needed vacation and I’ve packed my suitcase with dreamy earth-toned outfits for Cancun. I haven’t been on a proper break since June 2019, when I went to New York City. And here’s the kicker—it’s going to be my first time on a plane. Yes, at my ripe old age, I’ve somehow managed to avoid flying until now. I’m feeling all sorts of emotions—excited, nervous—but mostly just ready for this new experience. Weirdly, I’ve always liked being in airports, though. There’s something about the energy there, the anticipation of going somewhere new. It feels like the air itself is full of possibilities.
And this trip? It’s not just any vacation—we’re actually going for a destination wedding. So, it’s more than just swimsuits and earth-toned outfits for Cancun in my suitcase. I’ve packed wedding guest attire. I’ve even got a few pieces for the pre-wedding events, like the welcome party and one of the themed nights.
I’ve also picked up some seashell-inspired earrings, bracelets, and the cutest wicker beach bag to complete my looks. Definitely leaning into the beachy vibes with earth-toned outfits for Cancun.
Packing everything into just a carry-on and a duffel bag has been… let’s say, interesting. It’s definitely a challenge, but I’m determined to make it work.
I’m mostly looking forward to just unwinding—wearing my beach-toned clothes, lounging by the water, and catching up on sleep. This vacation is long overdue, and I’m hoping I come back feeling refreshed and ready for whatever’s next.
