Yesterday, my friends and I decided to go to the annual Night it Up! Festival at the Markham Civic Centre in Toronto which showcases a variety of Asian street foods.
I expected the event to occur while it was dark outside and illuminated by fairy lights. Yeah, that didn’t happen at all.
When it’s summer, the night is light until about 9 PM in Canada. Nonetheless, the energy was there and there were a lot of things to see.

For example, performances of K-pop dance covers, cute photoshoot locations, a hydration tent (a necessity), bubble tea and warm, delicious street food.

Despite trying shaved ice and a Vietnamese fish taco for the first time, I still wanted my bubble tea fix because the festival had very limited bubble tea options.

My friend and I went to ChaTime in North York around 9 PM to enjoy one of our favourite bubble teas and reminisce on life together.
Overall, I had fun. It reminded me how important it is to do fun activities with friends. That’s how you make memories.
