After a whirlwind day of rides, snacks, and nonstop Disney magic, we made sure to experience some of the best Magic Kingdom fireworks, performances and parades throughout the day. While the fireworks show is the grand finale everyone talks about, the daytime entertainment is just as magical.

From the high-energy parades to Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire, these performances bring the park to life in a way that rides simply can’t. Whether it was watching our favourite characters dance on stage or seeing beautifully themed floats roll down Main Street, the Magic Kingdom fireworks, performances & parades truly made the day feel even more special.
Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire: A Perfect Afternoon Show
Around 1:30 PM, we caught Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire, a lively stage show in front of Cinderella Castle featuring Mickey, Minnie, and a cast of Disney favourites. The dancing, the music, and the energy made it the perfect midday break between rides.

One unexpected side effect? I See the Light from Tangled became permanently embedded in my brain. I heard it multiple times throughout the day, and by the time it played again during the fireworks, I was wondering if this had become Magic Kingdom’s theme song.
Would I watch this show again? Absolutely.
Festival of Fantasy Parade: Disney Magic on the Move
Around 2:30 PM, we found a great spot near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade at 3:00 PM. Seeing Disney characters roll by on extravagant floats, waving and dancing to the upbeat music, was pure joy.
Tiana, Rapunzel, and the Frozen crew were definite highlights, but the Maleficent dragon float breathing actual fire? That stole the show.
If you love Disney magic in motion, this parade is a must-see.
The Fireworks: Disney’s Grand Finale
For the fireworks at 8 PM, we secured a spot behind the Walt and Mickey “Partners” statue—an area that offers one of the best views.

The show itself? Pure magic. The projections on Cinderella Castle, the synchronised music, the perfectly timed bursts of fireworks—it all felt surreal. There’s something about standing in a sea of Disney fans, watching fireworks light up the sky, that makes the exhaustion of a 12-hour theme park day worth it.

And this was also the only time I saw Mulan get some real love outside of EPCOT. Seeing her featured in the show made my night—it was about time she got some recognition!

The Tangled Washroom: The One That Got Away
I had one major regret: missing the famous Tangled-themed washroom. Yes, you read that right—a washroom.
Apparently, it’s one of the most beautifully themed restrooms in all of Disney, featuring glowing lanterns, hidden Pascal figures, and an immersive Tangled atmosphere. I had every intention of visiting, but somehow, it slipped my mind.
Final Thoughts: What I’d Do Differently & Recommend
- Use Lightning Lane/Multipass. It’s worth it if you want to go on a lot of rides without long waits.
- Try Pineapple Dole Whip. I’m still not over missing it.
- Dedicate more time to Fantasyland. So many rides, so little time.
Would I Go Back?
Without a doubt, Magic Kingdom was overwhelming (at times overstimulating, too), exhilarating, and truly magical. While the rides were a huge part of the experience, the Magic Kingdom fireworks, performances & parades added an extra layer of Disney enchantment that I didn’t fully appreciate until I was there. The Friendship Faire, the parades, and the fireworks show all made the park feel alive in a way that rides alone couldn’t.
While I know no two trips are the same, I can’t wait to go back, ride my favourites, eat all the beignets, and finally visit the Tangled washroom. And if it’s not Florida next time, then Los Angeles, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, or Paris for sure—because let’s be real, I’m fully committed to experiencing Disney magic around the world.
Disney, I’ll see you again real soon! ✨
