Although this blog post and vlog are late, I wanted to round up my experience at the Distillery Winter Village for people who plan to visit in December 2023.
Let’s just say, the Distillery Christmas Market looks a LOT different now that it’s been rebranded as the Distillery Winter Village and heavily sponsored by Dior. That’s right, Dior!
I loved visiting during the day, since there were still some GreenP parking options nearby, and the market was free! It wasn’t too crowded like I’m sure it would be in the evening, but there were still a lot of people walking around. Some schools even go to the market during the day, so keep an eye out for that.
The Dior Tree at the Distillery Winter Village
You can’t help but be captivated by the massive Dior-topped tree at the center of the market the moment you enter. Everyone gravitates to it for photos.
Wearing Appa Bucket Hats
Because we’re all Avatar: The Last Airbender fans, I gave my friends Appa bucket hats and we rocked them at the market, which a lot of people recognized.
The Types of Vendors at the Distillery Winter Village
There’s food, artisan clothing, and crafts, as well as local brands like Peace Collective.
Peace Collective
Like all the other vendors, Peace Collective had a special Winter Village sign announcing their business name in the Distillery Market.
Peace Collective had the cutest Grinch stuff and pretty mirrors all over the store.
Sniffany & Co
There was also a pet shop in the market called Sniffany & Co with the weirdest yet widest collection of dog cookies I’ve ever seen. It was so cute looking at them.
Bergo Designs
We checked out a few more vendors, including Bergo Designs.
The Poutine
I give the poutine at the Distillery Winter Village a 10/10. You gotta try it. I almost wish the portions were bigger, but I highly recommend getting poutine when you’re in the village. The cheese curds are on point and so are the fries.
At the end of the visit, we got a photo we took turned into an edible cookie!
Overall, I recommend attending the Distillery Winter Village during the day, for free and make sure to give yourself a lot of time to wander and try all sorts of food.
