There’s nothing quite like a brunch date with the girls. Add a little nostalgia, and it becomes something even sweeter. I visited Cafe n’ One, a Toronto brunch spot nestled on the iconic corner of Yonge and Finch. This café holds a special memory for me—it’s actually where my husband and I met for the very first time. Funny enough, we only stayed long enough to grab a matcha to go.
So it felt full circle to return to Cafe n’ One—not with him this time, but with my two younger cousins for a cozy catch-up brunch.

A Toronto brunch spot with range
Cafe n’ One has a little bit of everything. From classic breakfast favourites to saucy pastas, crispy chicken and waffles, and a full café menu, Cafe n’ One is not shy about options. It’s not your simple eggs-and-toast diner. This Toronto brunch spot leans a little more extra.

The Yonge and Finch location is tucked beside a karaoke bar and has some history—it used to house another café, so it’s already a popular hangout spot. I believe there are a few other Cafe n’ One locations around the city, but this one has that busy city corner charm. Foot traffic. Laughter from the karaoke crowd.
What we ordered (and what we thought)
Let’s talk food. Because when it comes to a brunch spot in Toronto, it’s all about the plate.
One of my cousins ordered a pasta dish. While it looked delicious, it was definitely more of a lunch or dinner meal. It ended up being too heavy for a morning bite, and she didn’t finish it.

My other cousin went for the classic chicken and waffles. Her first bite was promising, and the flavours were there. But again—it was rich. We all agreed that it’s probably better as a shared dish than a solo one.

As for me? I kept it simple. A warm latte, light foam, and a croffle. We all ordered drinks, and while I didn’t get into the food too much this time, I’m open to going back and trying something new.

A little post-brunch adventure
After brunch, we wandered into a nearby stationery store. Because what’s better than brunch and browsing for cute pens and stickers you absolutely don’t need but will definitely buy anyway?

The area has a lot of fun little spots to explore, so if you’re in the mood for a mini outing, it’s worth hanging around.
Would I go back?
Yes, I would. While our food choices weren’t perfect across the board, the overall vibe, drinks, and sweet treats make Cafe n’ One a Toronto brunch spot worth trying again.

It’s a special kind of joy to return to a place that once held a tiny beginning and now holds new memories, too.
Final thoughts on this Toronto brunch spot
Cafe n’ One is more than just a Toronto brunch spot. For me, it’s a story of beginnings, sweet moments, and the joy of sharing food with people you love. If you’re looking for a place with a playful menu, cozy vibes, and drinks that look as good as they taste—add this one to your list.
Just maybe skip the pasta before 10 a.m.
