In January, my friend Liz and I checked out the very small and quaint coffee shop, Baddies. When I heard about this cafe, I immediately imagined a big cafe with all-black every day. Well, the cafe was certainly not big. It’s super tiny.

I ordered a matcha latte and my friend ordered a warm drink and breakfast. Liz describes the breakfast as “really good”.

The matcha wasn’t spectacular, but it wasn’t distasteful either.

However, because we didn’t have any distractions, my friend and I could talk for hours uninterrupted. I think that’s what this cafe is really all about. It’s about connecting with human beings, rather than working privately in a corner like a focused potato (a.k.a me 99% of the time).

I knew I wanted to visit Baddies because of their iconic wall art that I’ve seen so many Toronto bloggers and influencers take photos in front of.
Overall, Baddies is a great place if you want to have a meaningful conversation with someone and catch up.
