Are you afraid of the future? Are you afraid of deterring off the right path succumbed to the ways of the world? No matter what place you are in life right now, God is going to hold your hand if you want him to. There’s a time and a place for everything. There will be moments in our life where we question why things are the way they are. We question who we are and ultimately, these questions lead to sadness and loneliness. The truth is that God is looking out for us and he is looking out for you. Whom shall you be afraid of when you are in constant communication with the God who created all of mankind? Be aware and remember that you are a light to those in darkness.
We question who we are and ultimately, these questions lead to sadness and loneliness. The truth is that God is looking out for us and he is looking out for you. Whom shall you be afraid of when you are in constant communication with the God who created all of mankind? Be aware and remember that you are a light to those in darkness.
There will be times in your life where you will be put in situations where the wickedness of the world is at the forefront. You can’t ignore it. You can’t walk away from it. And many of the stories and people God used confronted this darkness, and eventually fought it.
Let’s take a look at Moses, who grew up in a palace of wicked people.
The wicked trained him, and they were his family. However, it took over forty years before his training there was complete and God’s call on his life was evident. He was to lead God’s chosen people out of Egypt and into a foreign, bare land. This took bravery and faith as it was something at the time that seemed impossible. Likewise, if you feel like you are confronted with a wicked situation that you must face or your choices have led you to fight through it, know that God knows your heart and has major plans for you. If you stay in touch with God and fight with every inch of your soul to deepen your relationship, you will uncover a deeper, hidden message and purpose. This message will persist for you and carry you through your hardest times.
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
Romans 12:2
Be a Light
So many people mentioned in the Bible have been in the land of the wicked as this world is ruled by the evil one and he has all the power in this world. Nonetheless, we are reminded to not conform to the ways of this world. We have to identify and separate ourselves from the world in our everyday lives. In a sense, that also translates to our work. If our work is the very definition of the world, we have to not conform to it, but separate ourselves from it. In every season and time, there are moments when God will put you in a place no Christian wants to be. This happens when you have a mighty, and big calling for your life.
You Don’t Know the Full Story Yet
Often times, God tells me that I have no idea about the plans he has for me. I hold on to this statement because it reminds me that I don’t know the full story yet. The story has not completed. I know my desperation for God is real. I choose God over the world and especially over my career. As a result, I know that I am a lamppost. If there’s no light in the darkness, there’s just darkness. However, light, even if it’s a flicker, could give one person who opens their eyes a new path to walk down, and a sudden urge to seek that flickering light.
Are you afraid? Do not fear, for God is with you.
