Although the VIB Sephora spring sale is over, these items from my Sephora beauty haul can still be added to your next Sephora splurge. I love beauty products, especially skincare. This year, I wanted to try a lot of stuff, from skincare to makeup. A few of these items aren’t from Sephora, but Amazon beauty picks, like one of them. Everything else you can get at your local Sephora.
Let me know if you own any of these and what you think of them. Or, if you’re interested in any of them. I’ve been using most of these products for about a month now, so I can give a decent review.
Skin Care
Biossance Squalane x Rose face oil:
Okay, I’m restocking this face oil in my next Sephora beauty haul because, for some reason, my makeup-free skin just loves this stuff. It’s the oil you need to look glowy and hydrated. I get dry patches very easily so I need face oil to lock in moisture and prevent eczema. This is my favourite product, and I’ll keep buying it until I find something better.
Watermelon Niacinimide:
This is very unnecessary, but I love it. As soon as you put it on your face, you’ll feel a cooling, refreshing sensation. It instantly hydrates your skin. It works fast. Do you need face oil and this serum? No. You can use one or the other. Two is a luxury.
Laneige Lip Balm – Grape
This is what I use every day. It smells like grape HI-CHEW candies. I wish the formula lasted all day and kept your lips moisturized, but you just have to reapply and it’ll keep you chap-free. And it smells great!
Shiseido Sunscreen:
My favourite part about this sunscreen is that you can just roll it on. Moreover, it does not leave a white cast. The formula seems a bit greasy and I’d prefer something more mattifying. Let me know if you know of any sunscreen rollers that do that.
Sol de Janeiro:
So the only reason I decided to repurchase Sol de Janeiro products for a third time now is that it actually makes me excited to moisturize after a shower. I need to moisturize, so products with insanely yummy scents actually make me want to do it. I just finished the Rose Bom Dia Cream, which smells like fruity florals, and now I’m trying the original scent, paired with the body and hair spray.
Hyaluronic Acid:
To be honest, I don’t really think this makes a difference at all. Many of the products I own already have hyaluronic acid in them, so using this on its own doesn’t blow me away. I probably won’t repurchase.
Dr. Cicapair:
I know this night cream has a weird texture, but if you wake up with dry patches, you need this. It keeps your skin hydrated all night long. Just wash it off when you wake up.
Samples: Clinique Makeup Remover:
This is a pretty effective makeup remover. I’m not sure what the price tag is. If it’s too much, I’d recommend The Inkey List’s Oat Cleansing Balm instead. Nice, but nothing special.
Self-Care
Grace & Stella Eye Masks:
I love these! These reduce puffiness and dark circles. Just pop them on and go about your morning. Your undereyes look brighter after 5 minutes. They feel great too. They just move so much when you move around and do other stuff. Note: only the gold eye patches are great. I tried the pink one and didn’t like them. It must be a different formula.
Ice Roller:
Brooo, this ice roller from Amazon is awesome. It feels divine on the skin. I wish I could do it every day because it really helps my morning inflammation and headaches. I also like how it depuffs you a bit.
Clean Perfume Skin
For a clean, fresh scent, I tried CLEAN RESERVE in SKIN. I prefer fruity or tobacco-smoky scents, so this is outside my comfort zone. It has notes of Fresh Musk, Copabia Oil, Salted Praline. Overall, it’s nice. I might not repurchase it and try a more fruity scent like the Black Opium Illicit Green Eau de Parfum.
Makeup
24 Hr Brow:
This wax stuff does hold your brows in place, but don’t touch your brows after you put it in because it flakes a lot if you touch it.
Rare Beauty Blush:
This blush in terracotta is so pretty and easy to apply. All you need is a tiny bit on your fingers, and it blends into your skin and looks great on all skin tones. Definitely repurchasing.
Rare Beauty Mascara:
I don’t use it because I have lash extensions, but when I do use it, it really lengthens your lashes. It can’t match the thickness of lash extensions, but it applies really well. You can tell a lot of work was put into it.
Tarte Lash Primer:
Now, for your lashes to really lengthen in a similar way to lash extensions you need a primer. Before I bit the bullet and got lash extensions, I was trying to imitate it with mascara and primer. It came maybe 25% close, haha, but it was still better than just mascara.
Fenty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer
I’m not a fan of the Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer. The colour just doesn’t look flattering on me. However, this lip gloss over the Rare Beauty Lip Soufflé Matte Cream in chocolate brown is ELITE. I love blending the two together.
Rare Beauty Lip Soufflé Matte Cream
I love these matte lip creams. It’s so challenging to find a lip colour that actually suits your skin tone. I’ve wanted a chocolate brown lip for a while, and this Rare Beauty one looks nice on me. My confidence and put-togetherness would skyrocket if I wore this every day.
